  : When I had limited time in Berlin, they just easily message me via booking.com And they said due to maintenance issues we will upgrade your room. But there was no upgrade. It was pretty same room without balcony and irrelevant location. I choose that hotel because of the balcony and location But they move me to Potsdamerstrae branch very soulless and dark while im on the road. I cant complain about workers. But I can easily complain about the management. I believe This last moment changes Pretty common. When I read the reviews I believe they gibe my room to someone else and throw me some other place. Very unpleasant experience.
  : I can only say about Potsdamer Strae quentin XL. Somewhat clean some broken facilities. Bad management.

  : This review is not for the booked hotel the Quentin Berlin Hotel am Kurfrstendamm, instead Quentin hotels transferred me to their hotel in Potsdamer Platz, actually Potsdamer Strasse 76 (nowhere near Postdamer Platz). The room, well appointed and quiet. friendly helpful staff. Good points end there though.
  : Originally booked for the Quentin hotel near Adeneurplatz, transferred here as it was under renovation, I'll say allegedly as it seems to happen to a lot of people. Location is nothing like the description, quite a seedy area with a lap dancing bar next door and a lot of sex shops, seems to be on the edge of the red light district. Hotel bar is never open, contrary to their website description it is not within minutes' walk for any decent bars, and restaurants, unless you count Burger King and Dominoes as such, but a good little Dalmatian restaurant close by with a basic menu, you'd not want to wander too far from the hotel on foot after dark. I've felt safer in Johannesburg.... Did not book breakfast but did not bother as the hotel seemed to be basically room only, and for 20.00 doubted it'd be good given the overall impression of the hotel. Room servicing was non existent even though the make up my room request was left on, so ran out of coffee etc after the first day. Overall, overpriced and If Quentin Hotels inform you that you have been transferred here cancel the reservation and find somewhere else in a better part of town, you will not regret it.

  : few days prior our stay I got infomail from Quentin hotel. Due to some maitanance issue we were transfered to other hotel within Quentin family (Quentin XL hotel on Podstdamer strasse) and our room was upgraded cos of that..so was satisfied..during the stay all was ok..place,room...would recommend for sure..thx. Ondrej

  : Frankly, the story I am going to tell is very depressing, but it happened to me. The hotel Quentin Berlin has been closed for a long time but still accepting reservations, don't ask me how? This is what happened to me, I booked a small family suite for a family consisting of a couple and two young children and arrived in Berlin at night from Essen after driving for 7 hours to find that the hotel is closed and there is no one to talk to. I only found one email telling me the hotel owners that I have to go to their other hotel (Quentin XL Potsdamer Platz). Indeed, I went there to find a very bad hotel and they gave me only two options, to book two rooms, each room on a separate floor, or to cancel the reservation and sleep on the street with my family. I canceled the reservation, of course, and only booked one room at a high price with 145 Euro for one night, so that my wife and two children could sleep on one bed, without the hotel staff feeling bad. The next day I booked another hotel. I am not at all surprised why there is no domestic tourism in Germany.Service first

  : Avoid. I felt like this hotel was a prison! I was rebooked into this hotel at the last minute from another Quentin hotel (in Charlottenburg) which was very unprofessional. That was just the beginning. Once I arrived at this hotel, I was given a room which when I unlocked and stepped in, seemed to be occupied by someone else! Wow, this has never happened to me in over 1000+ hotel nights in my lifetime! After profusely apologising, the reception staff give me another room (which was not the superior room I had paid for), and this time the key card wouldn't work. After about 1 hour at the reception, they said that there are no available rooms for me and those that were available were not clean due to shortage of cleaning staff! I couldn't leave as it was 12 midnight. Then by magic they found a room (which I imagine was cleaned by someone whilst I stayed at reception), offered a complimentary breakfast which was utter rubbish (stale bread, cheeses and some salami). The blinds in the room won't work, towels missing and unlucky for me, I had a noisy neighbour. I wanted to check-out the next night, but they wouldn't let me. Even though the hotel manager and owner (Mr.Neir) was around and I could see him, he didn't bother to come and speak with me despite his staff explaining the situation. What an attitude from top-down! They asked me to 'write an email to management for a refund' and leave on my own accord. I knew that if I did that, there would be no refund, so ended up staying one more night in this prison! If you are a backpacker looking for retro-chic decor with 0 service, go for this hotel. Else, stay away, far away.
